Thanks for visiting my page!

My journey in this field began in the late '90s as a volunteer for the now-defunct Los Angeles Shanti, facilitating weekly groups and conducting workshops and weekend retreats for those living with or affected by HIV/AIDS. Years later I completed coursework and earned an M.A. degree in Psychology; my academic thesis centered on defining and treating sex addiction. I trained with Survivors' Truths facilitating the Trans Youth Speaks social media-based empowerment group; and interned with the L.A. LGBT Center providing weekly therapy, crisis intervention and Department of Mental Health-quality documentation. 

In addition to seeing clients in West Hollywood and Universal City, I provide therapy at a full-service facility in Pasadena as part of an intensive outpatient program for clients recovering from substance abuse.

I'm a journalist, with a long history of feature writing and music editorship.

I'm a cancer survivor. 

I'm a gay dad.
